Who can apply?
Creatives, Artists, Cultural Producers, Local Businesses, national culture and art agencies and institutions from the ACP Pacific region. Countries include Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Timor Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.

The project, Improving the Quality of Basic Education in the North Pacific (IQBE), addresses factors to improve the conditions for learning in FSM. It builds on the successes and lessons learned under the Quality Primary Education in the North Pacific technical assistance1 and allows for a more comprehensive and sustained approach required for effective reforms within the sector.

The Belt and Road scholarship opportunity is a fully funded 2-year program for Master’s Degree at the Renmin University in China. This scholarship is for National and State personnel. Application for the scholarship is to be submitted on or before April 30, 2021. Also attached is a brochure of the scholarship program. Please refer to the attachment for further details.

The new round of the Ajojo+ Scholarship opened last week (March 2021) and the deadline is June 1, for $1,500 awards. There is one for undergraduate and one for graduate students. Last year, the graduate student was from Kosrae and the undergraduate from the RMI. The eligibility requirement is that the applicants must either be a citizen of FSM, RMI, or Palau, or be a citizen of another country with a parent from one of those 3 countries.
